In November 2014, its wholly owned subsidiary tied up a deal with, a Bollywood film production company to co-produce films. In 2014, the company and Ekta Kapoor were subject to protests in led by the (SRKS), a group. These occurred because of perceived communal slights in the television series. In 2015 the banner produced a finite series, which became the most viewed show on Indian television since its inception.
The show was so popular that it won numerous awards and returned for its second season, which was also a very big hit. The production company was scheduled to launch the show's third season on 2 June 2018. In 2017 acquired a 25% stake in Balaji Telefilms for Rs413 crore.
